The scope of the subject of the contract included the construction of a new building of the Wood Education and Promotion Center with equipment in the immediate vicinity of Babki Forest Inspectorate.
The building was made entirely of wood using the latest technologies in the field of energy efficiency, including ecological solutions, e.g. photovoltaic panels, a heat pump and recuperation were installed. LED lighting was also used to reduce the use of electricity. The center is energy self-sufficient.
The exhibition hall has been equipped with a set of mapping devices showing layers of the forest, the model is illuminated by a projector and two frame screens on which the image is displayed, they together create one virtual whole. In the room there are also two multimedia kiosks adapted for people with sight or hearing impairments.
The aim of the center will be to conduct broadly understood education about the role of wood in human life. Workshops for children and teenagers with the use of this unique raw material are planned. The building and teaching aids have been adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.
