Project description:

The project included a comprehensive revitalization of the Market Square, the Town Hall and the Wrocławska street. The interior and entrance area of the City Hall were rebuilt and a new façade was constructed. As a result, new areas were made available for cultural, social and educational activities. The works in the Market Square included tidying up the space, limiting car traffic, supplementing the greenery, and creating a surface with infrastructure enabling the organization of mass events. On the promenade, space was tidied up at Wrocławska, the existing surface was renovated, greenery was planted and street furniture was placed. On the Market Square and at Wrocławska, street lighting and illuminations of the Market Square and the Town Hall were provided, low-voltage cable power lines were constructed, and a telecommunications sewage system with telecommunications lines and monitoring was constructed.

The project allowed for the creation of safe, functional public areas accessible to people with disabilities, they also serve to integrate residents. The area of the revitalized Market Square and Town Hall is used to implement educational, cultural and social activities, and also contributes to the activation of people at risk of social exclusion. The project is complementary to projects implemented and planned for implementation under the European Social Fund.

The project was carried out in partnership with the Henryk Florkowski MD Regional Museum in Kościan.
